Eliel Peretz ( Hebrew אליאל פרץ; * November 18, 1996 in Bat Jam ) is an Israeli soccer player who is under contract with the Austrian Bundesliga club Wolfsberger AC and played for the Israeli U21 team .

Career

Eliel Peretz comes from the youth department of Maccabi Tel Aviv . On March 2, 2016, he made his professional debut in a 2-0 cup win against Hapoel Kfar Saba . In this 2015/16 season he played three more competitive games and for the following season 2016/17 he was finally promoted to the first team, but was only used sporadically in 15 competitive games.

On September 5, 2017, he switched to league competitor Bne Jehuda Tel Aviv on loan for the entire 2017/18 season . He made his league debut four days later (3rd matchday) in the 1: 2 away defeat against Hapoel Haifa , when he was substituted on for Stav Finish at half-time . He scored his first goal on December 2 (matchday 12) in a 3-0 home win against FC Bnei Sachnin . As a result, he established himself as a substitute and in the summer of 2018 returned to Maccabi Tel Aviv with a goal in 22 league appearances.

It didn't last long there, because on September 16, 2018, he switched to Hapoel Hadera in a loan shop for the entire 2018/19 season . He made his debut on September 24 (4th matchday) in a 2-0 home win against Hapoel Haifa. At the club from the northern Israeli city of Hadera , he quickly made his breakthrough as a regular player. He achieved a special performance on December 30, 2018 (16th match day) in the 3-0 home win against Maccabi Petach Tikwa , when he was able to prepare all three goals for his team. A week later he met for the first time in a 1-1 draw against Hapoel Haifa. For Hapoel Hadera he played 29 league games this season, in which he scored four goals and prepared five more goals.

On July 17, 2019, he moved permanently to Hapoel Hadera, where he signed a two-year contract. Despite a two-month injury break, he caused a sensation in the 2019/20 season with a strong goal rate. Until the league was interrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic , he had scored eight goals in 18 league games.

On June 19, 2020, Eliel Peretz's move to the Austrian Bundesliga club Wolfsberger AC was announced, where he started a two-year contract for the 2020/21 season.

National team

Peretz made his debut against Liechtenstein for the Israeli U-21 selection in September 2016 . In the game that Israel won 4-0, he also scored his first goal for a national selection. By October 2017 he came to seven appearances for the team, in which he scored three goals.
