Joveljić was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina and played for local club Sloga Junajted before moving to top Serbian club Red Star Belgrade in 2010 at a young age. After almost seven years at the club, in which he had left all youth selections behind, Joveljić signed his first professional contract with several teammates on March 16, 2016 and was called up to the first team for the first time in the same year. He made his SuperLiga debut on December 10, 2017 in a 3-0 home win against Borac Čačak . Shortly thereafter, he scored his first goal for the club in the following championship round against Spartak Subotica , which he contributed to the later title win of Red Star.

In the following season 2018/19 he was able to celebrate his second championship title, to which he was able to contribute with 5 goals in 13 games in the regular season and a further 3 goals in 4 games in the championship round. He also made his UEFA Champions League debut in a game against SSC Napoli .

For the 2019/20 season, Joveljić moved to Germany for Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt , with whom he signed a contract valid until June 30, 2024. On July 25, 2019, he played his first competitive game for Eintracht in the Europa League qualification against FC Flora Tallinn . In this game, as a substitute, he scored the goal to make it 2-1. The Serb first reached the group stage with Frankfurt and finally the final round of the competition, but was not used there. This was followed by four Bundesliga games and a cup appearance including a goal.

End of January 2020 Joveljić was until end of season in the first Belgian league at the RSC Anderlecht awarded. For this he played five out of six possible games before the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic . He initially returned to Eintracht Frankfurt for the new 2020/21 season. In August 2020 he was awarded to the Wolfsberger AC in Austria .
