The Maccabi Tel Aviv Sports Association is the largest sports club in Israel . The association based in the Mediterranean metropolis Tel Aviv found its origin in Jaffa in 1906 as HaRishon LeZiyyon . Maccabi Tel Aviv is one of the oldest and most successful sports clubs in Israel.

Overall historical overview

In the club's coat of arms, the Star of David is prominent in the execution of the Maccabi movement, the aim of which is to promote the awareness of Jewish youth for religious, cultural and national values. Maccabiah Swimming Club

The swimming department of the club appears under the name Maccabiah. Since the establishment of the department in 1989, the club has won almost all titles in Israeli swimming.

The volleyball department of Maccabi Tel Aviv plays in the top division of Israel.

Handball department

The handball players won the Israeli championship for the first time in the 2013/14 season and also qualified for the 2014/15 European Cup for the first time. In the 2015/16 season, the men's team won their second championship title.
