Vorey (also: Vorey-sur-Arzon ) is a commune with 1,447 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Haute-Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the arrondissement of Le Puy-en-Velay and to the canton of Emblavez-et-Meygal (until 2015: canton of Vorey ). The inhabitants are called Voreysiens .
geography
Vorey is located about 15 kilometers north of Le Puy-en-Velay in the natural landscape of Emblavès (also spelled Emblavez ). Here the Arzon flows into the Loire . The neighboring municipalities of Vorey are Saint-Pierre-du-Champ in the north, Roche-en-Régnier in the north and northeast, Chamalières-sur-Loire in the east, Beaulieu in the southeast, Saint-Vincent in the south, Saint-Geneys-près-Saint -Paulien in the west and south-west and Bellevue-la-Montagne in the north-west.
