Alleyras is a French municipality with 161 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Haute-Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the arrondissement of Le Puy-en-Velay , to the community association Pays de Cayres et Pradelles and to the cantons of Velay volcanique . The core town was part of the canton of Ceyres until 2015 , the canton of Saugues includes the district of Vabres, which was incorporated into Alleyras in 1965.
geography
The municipality is located in the Allier Valley , around 170 kilometers southwest of Lyon . The Cevennes Railway between Clermont-Ferrand and Nîmes has a stop in town.
