Roche-en-Régnier is located about 20 kilometers north of Le Puy-en-Velay in the natural landscape of Emblavès (also spelled Emblavez ). The neighboring municipalities of Roche-en-Régnier are Saint-André-de-Chalencon in the north, Solignac-sous-Roche in the east and northeast, Retournac in the east, Chamalières-sur-Loire in the southeast, Vorey in the south and Saint-Pierre-du -Champ in the west and northwest.
