Chadron is a French municipality with 292 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Haute-Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Le Puy-en-Velay and the canton of Mézenc (until 2015 canton of Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille ). The inhabitants are called Chadronais .

geography

Chadron is about 13 kilometers south-southeast of Le Puy-en-Velay on the Loire , which borders the municipality to the west. Chadron is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Coubon in the north, Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille in the east and south-east, Saint-Martin-de-Fugères in the south, Le Brignon in the south-west, Solignac-sur-Loire in the west and Cussac-sur-Loire in the Northwest.
