Usson-en-Forez is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saillant in the north, Estivareilles in the northeast, Apinac in the east, Saint-Pal-de-Chalencon and Saint-Julien-d'Ance in the south, Saint-Georges-Lagricol and Craponne-sur- Arzon in the southwest, Sauvessanges in the west and Viverols in the northwest.
