Cuzieu is a French commune with 1,525 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . Cuzieu belongs to the arrondissement of Montbrison and the canton of Andrézieux-Bouthéon (until 2015: canton of Saint-Galmier ).
geography
Cuzieu is located about 21 kilometers north-northwest of Saint-Étienne in the historic Forez landscape . The Loire limits the municipality to the west. Cuzieu is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montrond-les-Bains in the north and north-west, Saint-André-le-Puy in the north, Bellegarde-en-Forez in the north-east, Saint-Galmier in the east, Chambœuf in the south and south-east, Rivas in the south as well Unias in the northwest.
