Three-slice nunatak

The Three-Slice-Nunatak (from English three slice , three slices' ) is a striking nunatak of 500  m height, which towers over the icy northeastern headland of the Joerg Peninsula on the Bowman coast of Grahamland . This unmistakable landmark in the form of a serrated mountain ridge is covered in snow, apart from the three vertical rock faces that give it its name.

The formation was discovered and named by scientists from the East Base during the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939-1941), who undertook geodetic surveys in this area in 1940.
