history

In the Middle Ages the village consisted of two parishes . The older of the two parishes was Saint-Priest-en-Vousset (also called Saint-Priest-en-Rousset ), whose church dates back to the 12th century. Saint-Priest-en-Vousset belonged to the fief of Saint-Marcellin (now Saint-Marcellin-en-Forez). The other parish was Boisset , but was then called Boisset-en-Montsupt because it belonged to the Montsupt fief, which is now part of Saint-Georges-Haute-Ville . In 1793 the districts of Saint-Priest and Boisset were combined in the course of the French Revolution (1789-1799) (as Boisset Priest ), received the status of a municipality and in 1801 (under the current name) the right to local self-government.

Attractions
