Ailleux is a French commune in the Loire department in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Rhône-Alpes ). It belongs to the canton of Boën-sur-Lignon and the arrondissement of Montbrison . It borders Vêtre-sur-Anzon with Saint-Thurin in the north-west, Saint-Martin-la-Sauveté in the north, Cezay in the east, Saint-Sixte in the south and Saint-Laurent-Rochefort in the west .
