La Chapelle-en-Lafaye is located about 31 kilometers west of Saint-Étienne in the Forez . La Chapelle-en-Lafaye is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Jean-Soleymieux in the north, Marols in the east, Montarcher in the south and southeast and La Chaulme in the south and west.
