Saint-Georges-en-Couzan is a French municipality with 420 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . Administratively it belongs to the arrondissement of Montbrison and is part of the canton of Boën-sur-Lignon (until 2015: canton of Saint-Georges-en-Couzan ).

Saint-Georges-en-Couzan is located about 46 kilometers northwest of Saint-Étienne in the Forez in the Massif Central . Saint-Georges-en-Couzan is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Palogneux in the north, Sail-sous-Couzan in the northeast, Trelins in the east and northeast, Marcoux in the east, Saint-Bonnet-le-Courreau in the south, Sauvain in the southwest, Chalmazel- Jeansagnière to the west and Saint-Just-en-Bas to the west and north-west.
