Saint-André-le-Puy is a French commune with 1,539 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . Cuzieu belongs to the arrondissement of Montbrison and the canton of Andrézieux-Bouthéon (until 2015: canton of Saint-Galmier ). The inhabitants are called Podoandréens .

Saint-André-le-Puy is located about 25 kilometers north-north-west of Saint-Étienne on the Anzieux river in the historic Forez landscape . Saint-André-le-Puy is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Marclopt in the north and northwest, Saint-Cyr-les-Vignes in the north and northeast, Bellegarde-en-Forez in the east, Cuzieu in the south and Montrond-les-Bains in the west.
