Veauchette is a French commune with 1,180 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . Cuzieu belongs to the arrondissement of Montbrison and the canton of Andrézieux-Bouthéon (until 2015: canton of Saint-Just-Saint-Rambert ). The inhabitants are called Veauchettais .

geography

Veauchette is located about 16 kilometers north-north-west of Saint-Étienne on the Loire in the historic Forez landscape . Veauchette is surrounded by the neighboring communities Craintilleux in the north and west, Rivas in the north, Veauche in the east, Andrézieux-Bouthéon in the south and south-east and Saint-Cyprien in the south and south-west.

The A72 autoroute runs through the municipality .
