Chalain-d'Uzore is located on the slope of Mont d'Uzoreh, around seven kilometers from the main town of Montbrison . In the north-west the municipality borders on Marcilly-le-Châtel , in the north on Montverdun , in the east on Saint-Paul-d'Uzore , in the south on Champdieu and in the west on Pralong .

Attractions

The Château de Chalain dates from the 16th century. It is privately owned and cannot be viewed. Some of the interiors, parts of the courtyard and the north, west and south facades have been listed as historical monuments since 1980.

Like the castle, the Saint-Didier church, which was declared a monument historique in 1964, dates back to the 16th century.
