Chenereilles is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Soleymieux in the north, Boisset-Saint-Priest in the east and northeast, Saint-Marcellin-en-Forez in the southeast, Périgneux in the south and southeast, Luriecq in the south, Marols in the west and Saint-Jean-Soleymieux in the Northwest.
