Vêtre-sur-Anzon is a French municipality with 550 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the department of Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the arrondissement of Montbrison and the canton of Boën-sur-Lignon .
It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2019 by amalgamating the previous municipalities of Saint-Julien-la-Vêtre and Saint-Thurin , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Saint-Julien-la-Vêtre.

geography
The municipality is located around 30 kilometers southwest of Roanne in the valley of the Anzon River . Neighboring communities are:
- Les Salles , Champoly and Saint-Martin-la-Sauveté in the north,
- Ailleux in the east,
- Saint-Didier-sur-Rochefort , Saint-Priest-la-Vêtre and Saint-Jean-la-Vêtre in the south,
- Noirétable in the west.
