Nassir Shamai Little (born February 11,  2000 in Pensacola ) is an American basketball player .

career

Little played for the team from Orlando Christian Prep in the state of Florida before he went to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill . Having announced his move in October 2017, he decided against offers from the Georgia Institute of Technology , the University of Miami , Duke University and the University of Arizona . At the end of March 2018, he took part in the “McDonald's All-American Game” as one of the most highly rated young US players of his year and was named the best player of the game.

At university level, he only played one season (2018/19), in which he played 36 appearances for the University of North Carolina team and was never in the starting line-up. Little drew attention to himself with bounce, versatility in defense and an aggressive style of play and came up with an average of 9.8 points and 4.6 rebounds per match. Beginning of April 2019 he announced his move to the professional and gave his registration for the draft process  of the NBA known. There the Portland Trail Blazers picked him 25th.
