Saint-Bonnet-les-Oules is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chambœuf in the north, Aveizieux in the north-east, Saint-Héand in the east, La Fouillouse in the south, Andrézieux-Bouthéon in the west and south-west and Veauche in the north-west.
