Aveizieux is a French commune with 1,647 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . Aveizieux belongs to the arrondissement of Montbrison and the canton of Andrézieux-Bouthéon (until 2015: canton of Saint-Galmier ). The inhabitants are called Aveizieudaires .
geography
Aveizieux is about 14 kilometers north of Saint-Étienne in the historic Forez landscape . Aveizieux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Médard-en-Forez in the north, Chevrières in the east and northeast, La Gimond in the southeast, Saint-Héand in the south, Saint-Bonnet-les-Oules in the southwest and Chambœuf in the west.
