Saint-Laurent-Rochefort is a French commune in the Loire department in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the arrondissement of Montbrison and the canton of Boën-sur-Lignon . It is bordered by Saint-Thurin to the north, Ailleux to the northeast, Saint-Sixte and L'Hôpital-sous-Rochefort to the east, Débats-Rivière-d'Orpra and Palogneux to the southeast, and Saint-Just-en to the southwest -Bas and to the west at Saint-Didier-sur-Rochefort .
