Viverols is located about 60 kilometers southeast of Clermont-Ferrand in the Livradois-Forez Regional Nature Park on the Ligonne . Neighboring municipalities of Viverols are Églisolles in the north, Saillant in the east and north-east, Usson-en-Forez in the east, Sauvessanges in the south, Medeyrolles in the south-west and Saint-Just in the west and north-west.
