Chaumont-le-Bourg is located about 54 kilometers southeast of Clermont-Ferrand and about 50 kilometers west of Saint-Étienne in the Livradois-Forez Regional Nature Park . Chaumont-le-Bourg is surrounded by the neighboring communities Marsac-en-Livradois in the north and west, Saint-Just in the east, Beurières in the south and Arlanc in the south-west.
