Grandrif is located about 65 kilometers east-southeast of Clermont-Ferrand in the Livradois-Forez Regional Nature Park . Neighboring municipalities of Grandrif are Valcivières in the north, Saint-Anthème in the east and northeast, Saint-Romain in the east, Églisolles in the southeast, Baffie in the south. Saint-Just to the south and southwest and Saint-Martin-des-Olmes to the west.
