Saint-Anthème is located about 70 kilometers east-southeast of Clermont-Ferrand in the Livradois-Forez Regional Nature Park on the Ance . Neighboring municipalities of Saint-Anthème are Saint-Bonnet-le-Courreau in the north, Roche in the north and northeast, Lérigneux and Bard in the northeast, Verrières-en-Forez in the east, Gumières in the southeast, and Saint-Clément-de-Valorgue in the south South-east, Saint-Romain in the south, Grandrif in the west and south-west and Valcivières in the north-west.
