Georges Colomb
Georges Colomb MEP (born June 15, 1953 in Saint-Anthème , Puy-de-Dôme , France ) is Bishop of La Rochelle .
Life
Georges Colomb joined the Congregation of the Society of the Paris Mission seminar in and received on 13 September 1987, the sacrament of Holy Orders . From 2010 to 2016, Georges Colomb was Superior General of the Society of the Paris Missionary Seminar.
On March 9, 2016, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of La Rochelle. The Archbishop of Paris , André Cardinal Vingt-Trois , donated him episcopal ordination on May 5th of the same year . Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Poitiers , Pascal Jean Marcel Wintzer , and the Vicar Apostolic of Phnom-Penh , Olivier Schmitthaeusler MEP.
