Saint-Martin-des-Olmes is located about 60 kilometers east-southeast of Clermont-Ferrand and about 50 kilometers west-northwest of Saint-Étienne in the Livradois-Forez Regional Nature Park . Saint-Martin-des-Olmes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ambert in the north and west, Grandrif in the east and south-east, Saint-Just in the south and Marsac-en-Livradois in the south-west.
