Domaize is a French municipality with 389 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ). Domaize belongs to the Arrondissement of Ambert and the canton of Les Monts du Livradois ( Saint-Dier-d'Auvergne until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Domaiziens .

Domaize is located about 36 kilometers east-southeast of Clermont-Ferrand in Limagne . Domaize is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sauviat in the north and north-east, Tours-sur-Meymont in the east, Cunlhat in the south and south-east, Ceilloux in the south, Saint-Dier-d'Auvergne in the west and Saint-Flour in the west and northwest.
