Échandelys is a French municipality with 258 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Ambert and the canton of Les Monts du Livradois (until 2015 canton of Saint-Germain-l'Herm ).

Échandelys is located about 53 kilometers southeast of Clermont-Ferrand in the Livradois-Forez Regional Nature Park . Neighboring municipalities of Échandelys are Auzelles in the north, Saint-Éloy-la-Glacière in the east and northeast, Fournols in the east and southeast, Aix-la-Fayette in the south, Saint-Genès-la-Tourette in the southwest and Condat-lès-Montboissier in the West and northwest.
