Dieter Lohr

Dieter Lohr (* 1965 in Kempten (Allgäu) ) is a German writer, radio play director and audio book publisher.

Life

Lohr studied Modern German Literature, Philosophy and Political Science at the University of Konstanz and received his doctorate in 1999 with the dissertation The History of Experience of “Time” in literary texts . In 1999/2000 and 2002 he worked as a lecturer at the University of Alexandru Ioan Cuza Iași in Romania. He traveled through Asia and worked at the Goethe Institute in Kathmandu . In 2004 he founded the Regensburg- based LOhrBär-Verlag, which publishes audio books.

In 2006 Lohr was awarded the CS Lewis Prize from Brendow Verlag for his novel The Rebellion in a Water Glass . In the same year he received the cultural promotion award of the city of Regensburg . In 2016 LOhrBär-Verlag received the award for a small Bavarian publisher .
