Arthur Caesar
Arthur Caesar (born March 9, 1892 in Bucharest , † June 20, 1953 in Beverly Hills , California ) was a Romanian - American screenwriter who won the Oscar for best original story at the 1934 Academy Awards .
Life
Arthur Caesar, brother of songwriter Irving Caesar , began writing the film His Darker Self in 1924 . In the course of his career in the Hollywood film industry , he wrote the templates for more than forty films. His play Napoleon's Barber was filmed in 1930 under the title El barbero de Napoleón .
In 1934 he received the Oscar for best original story for Manhattan Melodrama (1933). His last screenplay work was the template for The Pirate Queen (1951).
