The canton of Viverols was a French canton in the arrondissement Ambert in the department Puy-de-Dôme and in the region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes until 2015 ; his main town was Viverols , last representative in the General Council of the Département was Michel Bravard from 2008 to 2015. The canton was 130.86 km² and had 1,826 inhabitants (2006), which corresponded to a population density of 14 inhabitants per km². It was on average at 920 meters above sea level , between 600 m ( Saint-Just ) and 1229 m in Baffie .
