The District of Saint-Germain-Lembron was 2015 a French canton in the Arrondissement Issoire in the Puy-de-Dôme and the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; its capital was Saint-Germain-Lembron . Maurice Mestre was the last representative in the General Council of the Département from 1994 to 2015, last re-elected in 2008. The canton was 117.09 km² and had (1999) 6,435 inhabitants, which corresponded to a population density of 55 inhabitants per km². It was on average at 454 meters above sea level , between 379 m in Nonette and 790 m in Saint-Gervazy .
