The Canton Aigueperse is a French constituency in the district Riom in the Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . Luc Chaput has been a representative in the General Council of the Department since 1998.
history
The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 as part of the establishment of the departments as part of what was then the "District of Riom". With the establishment of the arrondissements on February 17, 1800, the canton was redesigned as part of what was then the arrondissement of Riom.
