Les Martres-d'Artière is a French commune in the department of Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region of central France. The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Riom , is part of the canton of Aigueperse (until 2015: canton of Pont-du-Château ) and has 2,156 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017), who are called Martrois .
geography
Les Martres-d'Artière is about 14 kilometers northwest of Clermont-Ferrand . The Allier , into which the Artière flows here, delimits the municipality to the east. Les Martres-d'Artière is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lussat in the north and west, Chavaroux in the north, Joze in the north-east, Beauregard-l'Évêque in the east and Pont-du-Château in the south and south-west.
The Autoroute A89 , Autoroute A711 and the former Route nationale 493 (today's D1093) lead through the municipality .
