Prondines is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Hilaire-les-Monges in the north, Cisternes-la-Forêt in the north and northeast, Gelles in the east, Heume-l'Église in the southeast, Briffons in the south, Tortebesse in the south and southwest, Sauvagnat in the West and Puy-Saint-Gulmier in the northwest.
