La Goutelle is a French municipality with 626 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the arrondissement of Riom and the canton of Saint-Ours (until 2015: canton of Pontgibaud ).

La Goutelle is about 26 kilometers west-northwest of Clermont-Ferrand . La Goutelle is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Miremont in the north and north-west, Saint-Jacques-d'Ambur in the north, Montfermy in the east and north-east, Bromont-Lamothe in the east and south-east, Cisternes-la-Forêt in the south and south-west and Pontaumur in the west .
