history
Today's community emerged from the union of the two neighboring villages of Issat in the west and La Turetta in the east. This happened around the year 1653. As early as 1222 a first temple was built. In the 19th century, the village's economy flourished thanks to viticulture, which was suddenly interrupted by the phylloxera crisis . The attraction of the nearby city of Clermont-Ferrand was great and so many residents left the village. The missionary Guillaume Douarre also took many residents with him to New Caledonia .
