Durmignat is a French municipality with 205 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Riom and the canton of Saint-Éloy-les-Mines (until 2015 Montaigut ).

Durmignat is located in the Combraille landscape in the north of the Massif Central , about 38 kilometers southeast of Montluçon . The neighboring municipalities are Lapeyrouse in the north, Échassières in the east, Moureuille in the south, Saint-Éloy-les-Mines in the southwest and Buxières-sous-Montaigut in the west.
