Bussières is located about 45 kilometers west-northwest of Riom and about 58 kilometers northwest of Clermont-Ferrand . Bussières is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Hilaire in the north and northwest, Saint-Maigner in the east and northeast, Espinasse in the southeast, Roche-d'Agoux in the south and Saint-Maurice-près-Pionsat in the west.
