Enval is a French commune with 1,486 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Riom and the canton of Châtel-Guyon (until 2015: canton of Riom-Ouest ). The inhabitants are called Envalois .
location
Enval is about five kilometers west of Riom and about 13 kilometers north-northwest of Clermont-Ferrand in the old cultural landscape of Limagne on the Ambène River . Enval is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Châtel-Guyon in the north, Riom in the east and northeast, Mozac in the east, Malauzat in the south and southeast, Volvic in the south and Charbonnières-les-Varennes in the west.
