Enval is about five kilometers west of Riom and about 13 kilometers north-northwest of Clermont-Ferrand in the old cultural landscape of Limagne on the Ambène River . Enval is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Châtel-Guyon in the north, Riom in the east and northeast, Mozac in the east, Malauzat in the south and southeast, Volvic in the south and Charbonnières-les-Varennes in the west.
