Chavaroux is a municipality with 477 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in central France Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Riom and the canton of Aigueperse (until 2015: canton Ennezat ). The inhabitants are called Chappadaires .

Chavaroux is about 16 kilometers northeast of Clermont-Ferrand and about twelve kilometers southeast of Riom . Chavaroux is surrounded by the neighboring communities Entraigues in the north, Joze in the east, Les Martres-d'Artière in the south and south-east, Lussat in the south and south-west and Chappes in the west.
