Saint-Sulpice is about 40 kilometers west-southwest of Clermont-Ferrand . Saint-Sulpice is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Lastic in the north and north-west, Bourg-Lastic in the north and west, Saint-Julien-Puy-Lavèze in the east and south-east, Saint-Sauves-d'Auvergne in the south-east, Avèze in the south and Messeix in the Southwest.

The rivers Dordogne and Clidane touch the municipality. In addition, the A89 autoroute leads through the community.
