The canton of Bourg-Lastic was 2015 a French canton in the Arrondissement Clermont-Ferrand in the Puy-de-Dôme and the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; its main town was Bourg-Lastic , last representative in the General Council of the Département was Gilles Battut from 2004 to 2015. The canton was 201.53 km² in size and had 3,377 inhabitants (1999), which corresponds to a population density of 16.76 inhabitants per km². It was on average at 821 meters above sea level , between 538 m in Savennes and 1,002 m in Briffons .
