The Canton of Aubière is a French constituency in Arrondissement of Clermont-Ferrand in the Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . Laurence Mioche-Jacquesson ( PS ) has been a representative in the General Council of the Département since 2008 .
history
The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 as part of the establishment of the départements as part of what was then the "District of Clermont-Ferrand". With the establishment of the arrondissements on February 17, 1800, the canton was redesigned as part of what was then the arrondissement of Clermont-Ferrand.

The canton borders in the north on the cantons of Clermont-Ferrand-2 and Clermont-Ferrand-3 , in the east on the canton Cournon-d'Auvergne , in the south on the canton Les Martres-de-Veyre and in the west on the canton Beaumont .
