The canton of Veyre-Monton was a French canton in the arrondissement of Clermont-Ferrand in the department of Puy-de-Dôme and in the region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes until 2015 ; its main town was Veyre-Monton . Bernadette Troquet ( DVG ) was the last representative in the General Council of the Département from 2011 to 2015 .

The canton was 85.50 km² and had (2006) 23,694 inhabitants, which corresponds to a population density of 277 inhabitants per km². It was on average at 416 meters above sea ​​level , between 318 m in Le Cendre and 744 m in La Roche-Blanche .
