The canton of Royat was a French canton in the arrondissement of Clermont-Ferrand in the department of Puy-de-Dôme and in the region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes until 2015 ; its main town was Royat , representative in the General Council of the Département was last from 2001 to 2015, re-elected in 2008, Jean Ponsonnaille ( UMP ). In 2015 the canton was dissolved.
