Nohanent town center

Nohanent is a French commune in the department of Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes in the Arrondissement Clermont-Ferrand . It belonged to the canton of Royat until March 2015 and since that date to the canton of Cébazat . The community has 2,225 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).

Nohanent is located about four kilometers northwest of Clermont-Ferrand in the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Nature Park. Nohanent is surrounded by the neighboring communities Sayat in the north and northwest, Blanzat in the east and northeast, Durtol in the south and Chanat-la-Mouteyre in the west.
